May is a busy month

April in Norway was the warmest in 110 years or something silly like that.

You never know at this time of the year though, 17th May (National Day)  can be absolutely freezing!  So we shall see.....

Several birthdays and anniversaries in the family this month and then Jarle and I are going to Florence for a long weekend at the end of May.  It is my birthday present and I am really looking forward to it.  We do have a handy little Italian phrase book which we left at the flat.....duh!

San Remo, Italy

We visited the seaside town of San Remo just across the border into Italy for a one night stay at the super lovely Hotel Nazionale.

This is the view from our 6th floor suite.

Back from Antibes

We got back very late last night and it felt very cold after the 20+ degrees in Antibes.  However, the sun is shining today and the sky is blue, Spring has definitely arrived, everything is looking much greener.

We had a lovely time at the flat and can't wait to return in the Summer.

School Band

Mia played along with the other learners at a concert in the nearby church yesterday evening.  We were very proud.

Here she is wearing her new "band" jumper.
